Does this setting only have to be set on ISA or any firewall in front of
exchange? Specifically Cisco IOS? Thanks,
- Gabe

Gabe if you get the command for Cisco IOS / PIX please post it here. I have
been researching without much luck.

From the article Bharat posted:

"We recommend that you increase the firewall time-out values for HTTP(S)
requests to the Exchange Server Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync virtual
directory to provide a richer, "always-up-to-date" experience. The method
that you use to increase the firewall time-out values depends on which
firewall product you use. Refer to the firewall documentation for
information on about how to increase the firewall time-out values."

Which version of Pix OS?
It's been a while since I dabbled with Pixes on a daily basis, but check if
this helps:

yep gave that a shot, doesn't seem to do much! haha, i also tried using the
ip tcp intercept connection-time 600 command
in which the pix proxies connections requests that match an acl back to the
server and allows it to stay open for a specified amount of time... no luck
either...
