We have an issue with the OWA URL. The URL to our OWA is
http://mail.companyname.com/exchange. When a user tries to authenticate the
sign in screen pops back and we have to remove the "mail." from the URL path
so we can finally get into our e-mail. Any ideas on how to change this?

Just using companyname.com/exchange as the URL will not work. We have to use
the entire path above and then remove "mail." It's not that big of a deal but
it is annoying and the owner of the company would like it resolved.

Hello,

"Maxxsir" When a user tries to authenticate the sign in screen pops back and
we have to remove the "mail." from the URL path
"Waleed Omar" Do u mean removing the "mail" word part of the url from the
username field or from the internet address field of the explorer?

Regards
Waleed

It's actually removing the word mail. from the authenticate box that pops up
that we want to do.

In the properties of your OWA website make sure the authentication is set to
basic and in the domain field only put "/".
