I have a requirement to send a copy of all my internal mail from the
exchange server to an external email address.

I have created an AD user account to forward all mail to from exchange
using the 'Archive all messages' function on the Mailbox Store
properties.

I have created a Contact in AD that has the external email address.

I have set the 'Forward To' option on the AD user account to send mail
to the Contact

I have set the 'Deliver messages to both forwarding address and
mailbox' to on.

NOW!! Here's the problem:

All mail is being copied to the AD user mailbox OK but the mail is not
being sent to the forwarding Contact address.

If I send a test mail to the AD user direct this then works correctly
but it does not when the Exchange Archive all sends to it.

ANY IDEAS GREATLY RECEIVED !!!!!

The message being archived into the mailbox will not being forwarded, i
tested that and got the same result. I'm afraid you have to add that
external contact in every mail enabled account in the Delivery options -->
"forward a copy to" field, otherwise you have to use one of the 3rd party
tools available.

HI,

I guess what you have done is configured journaling on the store, thats
archeving all the messages to a single mailbox.

How about creating a rule in outlook where you can forward the message
to an external contact.
